All I Want For Christmas....wait!....Christmas Is Over!

Second one came out yesterday.

I forgot to put the chocolate coin under the pillow and take the tooth. This morning I woke up at 6:30 and remembered...AAAAGGGHHH!!! I jumped out of bed, found the coin and ran to stick it under the pillow. When I opened the door to the kids' room, Kate woke up and asked me what I was doing! EEE! So I said I wanted to have a cuddle....I scooted into bed and quickly stuck the coin under the pillow. Then she said,"The tooth fairy didn't come last night! My tooth is still in the box!"

"Really?" I asked
"Yes, see?_____Hey! What's this?_____A chocolate coin!"
"Wow!"
"But why didn't she take the tooth?"
"Ah, look....the little box is a bit stuck....she might not have been strong enough to get it open....we'll have to leave it open a bit tonight so she can get it out"
"Yes! And then she can leave another chocolate coin for me!"

No flies on that one.

Merry Christmas To One And All!

So we were woken up BEFORE the crack of dawn (having gone to sleep at the reasonable hour of 12:30am, after having a lovely turkey dinner at our friends' place) by the sound of two extremely excited children breaking into their stockings.

First things first. A typical HK pose (for you, Julie).You can see how dark it is in the background. We let them open one present each, before we had showers and breakfast.Ooooh, the anticipation...!A new Barbie laptop!!The seriousness of it all.....Woo hoo!!!Kate suddenly realised that Charlie had a load of presents too. So she counted to make sure she had more. She gave up trying to compare when she realised that she had 23 presents. AND the pink, two-wheeled scooter that she has been asking Santa for since last summer...Way hayyyy! Just what I asked for from Santa!!!Wooooo wooooo!Gasp!Oooohhhh!!!New ballet outfit!Getting ready to scoot scoot scootWhat a speedy boy!Scootin'More scootin'True happinessScoot scootThen we got to get into the sleigh decorations...Hanging out of the sleigh..Cheech in the sleighCharlie accidentally on purpose crashed into Kate, really hurting her foot. He kissed her sorry.And then she showed us her foot and we were horrified...So we made Charlie kiss it better...
Kate back on the sleigh, blowing kisses to the riff raff...My handsome husband...And after I asked him to smile, we got this lovely grimace...!

It's out. Second one looks like it's gonna come out today, even. Maybe we'll have Santa AND the Tooth Fairy here tonight. Best set out an extra mince pie.

It's funny, Kate looks so much like I did as a child....except incredibly gorgeous. I don't think it's just a mum's thinking. We have tourists requesting to have their photos taken with her all the time. I took these at Disney and they were so beautiful I had to give them their own post...

They've Earned It!

Kate and Charlie worked very hard to earn enough points (60!!) to go to Disneyland.

So we went and had a very lovely time.
Bubbles!Kate was a bit chilly so wore Daddy's coat for a bitCharlie and TiNot sure how much fun he's having....But he enjoyed this.
